About Trio Laflamme

With Trio Laflamme, I have fulfilled a long-held musical dream: to bring chamber music to life on historical instruments together with exceptional musicians. I founded Trio Laflamme in 2009 – today, cellist Jarosław Thiel and fortepianist Katarzyna Drogosz perform with me. We feel a deep connection through our shared passion for historical performance practice and the unique soundscape of the 18th and 19th centuries.

At the heart of our work is music for flute, cello, and piano. Using historical instruments, we seek a sound world that combines authenticity, expression, and spontaneity. I am particularly fascinated by how music from past centuries can be brought vividly to life again through careful interpretation – vibrant, emotional, and full of color.

With Trio Laflamme, we perform internationally at festivals and concert series, dedicating ourselves to both well-known works of the Classical and Romantic periods as well as rarely performed repertoire. We are particularly passionate about musical discoveries – works that deserve to be heard anew and to touch their audiences once again.

For me, chamber music is an intense dialogue: between musicians, between past and present, and above all with the audience. It is precisely this intimacy and vibrancy that I want to bring to the stage with Trio Laflamme.
